Trust & privacy

Your event, your data.

uBringIt is built around one idea: organizing a potluck shouldn't mean handing over your guest list to a marketing engine. This page explains what we collect, how we protect it, and what choices you have.

What we store

When you create an event, we store the event details you enter (name, date, location, categories, notes) and the sign-ups guests submit. If you choose to sign in as an organizer, we store your email address so your events follow you across devices.

Most event data lives in your browser's local storage by default. Account data and paid-tier records are stored in our managed backend.

Events are private by default

Events are reachable only by their direct link. We do not list events publicly, do not expose them in search, and do not sell or share guest contact information.

Sample events on the home page are demo data — they are not real events and are not clickable.

Payments

Paid upgrades are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We retain a record of which event was upgraded and to which tier so the unlock applies correctly; sensitive payment identifiers are kept server-side and are not exposed to the public.

Email

We send transactional email only — sign-in links you request, organizer notifications, and receipts. We do not run marketing campaigns or share your address with third parties. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Security safeguards

Database access is protected by row-level security. The public read path for purchase records is column-restricted, so customer emails and Stripe identifiers are never served to the browser. Privileged operations run through verified webhooks and signed requests.

uBringIt is a small product and this page is editable project content — it describes our current practices, not an independent certification.

Your choices

As an organizer, you can mark an event as canceled or delete it at any time from the organizer dashboard. Deleting an event removes its sign-ups and photos.
